Partnership helps early adopters of UAS technology train staff to understand Part 107 rules and pass the Remote Pilot Knowledge Test
ALPINE, Utah, April 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Loveland Innovations®, the maker of IMGING, the first autonomous drone inspection solution built specifically for insurance, announced today a partnership with UAV Coach, the provider of Drone Pilot Ground School, a premier online training course that prepares students to become commercial drone pilots and pass the Remote Pilot Knowledge Test.
The Federal Aviation Administration requires UAS pilots to obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate and follow 14 CFR Part 107 laws to legally fly. This partnership delivers thorough training on Part 107 rules and regulations for insurance adjusters and contractors who are ready to use drones, but haven’t yet become certified pilots.
“Getting your remote pilot license can sound intimidating, but UAV Coach really makes it simple,” says Jim Loveland, CEO and founder of Loveland Innovations. “Many of our customers are excited to adopt UAS technology in property inspections but have concerns about how to train a large staff of adjusters or inspectors. UAV Ground School’s program has an outstanding 99 percent pass rate for their students, so we’re confident this is a great partnership to help prepare our customers for Part 107 rules and regulations.”
A training program isn’t a requirement to take the exam, and many people have successfully passed the Remote Pilot Knowledge Test without a formal training program. However, to ensure a rigorous understanding of the law and best practices, training programs such as Drone Pilot Ground School are an ideal approach for training large numbers of future pilots.
“It’s our job to take the worry and headache out of preparing people to pass the Remote Pilot Knowledge Test and prepare them for day-to-day UAS operations,” says Alan Perlman, Founder of UAV Coach, “We’re excited to be part of Loveland Innovations growing partnership to bring fast, safe drone inspections to insurance carriers and we’re confident we can get new pilots up and into the sky for detailed drone inspections as quickly as possible.”
